Role Overview

Indus University is seeking a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, desktops, and cloud-based systems. The candidate will ensure seamless IT operations, secure environments, and efficient support for faculty, staff, and students.

Key Responsibilities

Server & Network Administration

• Manage Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Handle network infrastructure including WiFi, LAN/WAN, and VPN connectivity.
• Monitor and maintain Linux/Mac systems.

Support & Maintenance

• Provide desktop support, ticketing, and license management.
• Manage AWS website hosting and cloud resources.
• Administer ERP systems, CCTV networks, and IT policies.

Asset & Security Management

• Maintain IT assets and inventory records.
• Ensure system security, backup procedures, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Assist in implementing IT best practices and compliance standards.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with faculty, staff, and students for IT-related issues.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and network solutions.
• Document processes and maintain operational guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT administration or support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Linux/Mac OS, cloud services (AWS), and ERP systems.
• Competent in desktop support, ticketing, and IT asset management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience in educational or institutional IT support.
• Certifications in Windows Server, Networking, or Cloud platforms.
