Role Summary

The Junior Cloud / DevOps Engineer will work directly with a Senior Platform Engineer to support and enhance a live production system deployed on AWS and Kubernetes. This role focuses on hands-on cloud operations, Kubernetes deployments, infrastructure support, and DevOps best practices. The position offers structured mentorship and progressive responsibility, making it ideal for candidates transitioning from academic or lab-based learning into real-world cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day AWS cloud operations, including basic monitoring and configuration tasks.
• Support Kubernetes workload deployments, including deployments, services, ingress, and namespace organization.
• Perform basic troubleshooting across AWS services and cloud-native applications.
• Work with Linux-based systems and command-line tools to manage and diagnose infrastructure issues.
• Read, understand, and modify YAML configuration files used in Kubernetes and cloud deployments.
• Document technical processes, configurations, and operational workflows clearly and accurately.
• Participate in technical review sessions and knowledge-sharing discussions with senior engineers.

Minimum Technical Requirements

• Basic familiarity with AWS core services such as:

• Foundational understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including:

• Experience using CLI tools.
