Role Description
Ikigai Labs is looking for a dynamic software engineer with strong fundamentals to join our high-performing infrastructure team. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, thrives in rapid development cycles, and is eager to collaborate and innovate.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT data integration processes
• Optimize an on-demand predictive modeling platform using Python
• Utilize Kubernetes for scalable deployments and manage Docker containers
• Leverage multiple AWS services for cloud-native solutions
• Enhance the testing platform (sanity checks, unit tests, performance tests)
• Maintain security standards and compliance (ISO 27001:2022, SOC II, HIPAA)
• Provide periodic support to the customer success team

Technologies Used

• Languages: Python3, SQL, GoLang, Bash
• Cloud: Kubernetes, Helm, EKS, Terraform, AWS
• Databases: Postgres, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB
• Data Engineering: Apache Arrow, Dremio, Ray
• Other: Apache Superset, GRPC, Jenkins, Airbyte

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Advanced experience in Python, AWS services, ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with Kubernetes and EKS/AKS (optional)
• Strong understanding of system design patterns and testing best practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
• Knowledge of streaming data processing and real-time analytics
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices
