Job Overview

The Cloud Specialist 1 role focuses on cloud infrastructure monitoring, incident management, and operational support within a 24/7 environment. You will work closely with customers, partners, internal service teams, and third-party vendors to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and reliability of cloud-hosted applications.

This role provides excellent exposure to cloud platforms, ITSM processes, disaster recovery operations, and enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud & Infrastructure Monitoring

• Perform application-layer monitoring in cloud environments
• Monitor servers, applications, services, and infrastructure components
• Proactively identify, analyze, and remediate infrastructure issues

Incident & Request Management

• Respond to monitoring alerts and production incidents
• Log, document, and update incident details using ITSM tools
• Classify incidents based on severity, impact, and risk
• Ensure resolution within defined SLAs

Operational Support

• Manage escalations as per standard operating procedures
• Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors
• Track incident progress and keep stakeholders informed
• Support scheduled maintenance windows and disaster recovery failover testing

Customer & Stakeholder Communication

• Handle customer requests and incidents professionally
• Provide clear oral and written communication
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field

Experience

• 0.6 to 3 years of experience in:
  • Infrastructure Support
  • Network Operations Center (NOC)
  • IT Operations or Monitoring Roles
• Freshers with strong cloud knowledge or certifications are encouraged to apply

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Fundamental knowledge of SQL and CRM-based applications
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as:
  • SolarWinds
  • BMC
  • Similar enterprise monitoring platforms
• Basic knowledge of ITIL framework

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer handling experience preferred
• Willingness to work in 24/7 rotational shifts, including night shifts
