Job Role: Senior DevOps Engineer
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience

Job Description:
As the first DevOps engineer at HowNow, you will have a unique chance to shape DevOps culture and practices, drive innovation, and impact the company’s growth directly. This role offers a pathway to leadership within a fast-growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage scalable, highly available AWS cloud infrastructure using EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, OpenSearch, Lambda, ECS
- Implement EC2 Auto Scaling, load balancing for optimal performance
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Terraform, CloudFormation
- Automate system deployments and operations using Bash, Python, PowerShell
- Monitor system health with AWS CloudWatch and custom tools; troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to build infrastructure supporting new features
Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in DevOps or related roles with strong software development and system administration background
- Proficient in AWS services, including managing MongoDB and MySQL on RDS
- Experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
- Nice to have: Ruby on Rails familiarity, AWS Certification, open-source contributions
