Job Overview
Join Horizon56 as a DevOps Engineer Trainee and gain hands-on experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and learning core DevOps practices that power mission-critical digital platforms. This role is ideal for recent graduates or final-year students eager to grow into full-time Azure DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer roles.

Key Responsibilities
Learn and assist with Azure cloud infrastructure and application hosting
Work with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML
Support cloud security, identity management, and access control
Help implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
Participate in performance monitoring and cost optimization
Deploy and manage serverless applications, containers, and AKS
Contribute to global team efforts across Norway, Denmark, the UK, and USA
Document processes and assist in DevSecOps practices

What You'll Learn
Azure-native services: Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and serverless computing
Scripting with PowerShell, YAML, and Python
Real-world experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
Cloud architecture, scaling, and monitoring strategies

Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and platforms (Azure preferred)
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or YAML)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Keen interest in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
