Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will manage IT infrastructures, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure system reliability and security. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to maintain smooth IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and security systems.
  • Perform system maintenance, updates, and security enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot complex IT issues and implement proactive solutions.
  • Document IT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Conduct user training sessions on IT best practices.
  • Lead or contribute to IT projects (upgrades, migrations, deployments).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect IT infrastructure.
  • Use monitoring tools to track system performance and proactively address issues.
  • Manage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization solutions.
  • Utilize Git for version control and software deployment.

Skills Required

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server management.
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization technologies.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN configurations.
  • Knowledge of SAN, NAS, and cloud storage management.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of basic programming concepts and Git version control.
  • Comfortable using Linux/Unix command-line tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA.
  • Experience with ITIL framework for service management.
  • Scripting & automation skills (PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with SCCM, Intune for endpoint management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
