Job Description

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Consumer Identity and Growth team in Hyderabad. The role involves developing high-performance, scalable software services for global users while ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-performance, stable, and scalable software
• Deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced environment
• Lead the design and development of complex software systems
• Ensure operational excellence, including on-call support and incident response
• Provide guidance on coding, design, and best practices
• Make data-driven decisions on software architecture and development
• Collaborate with remote teams across different geographies and time zones
• Implement alerting, metrics, and logging using tools like Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, PagerDuty

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Golang (preferred) or Java
• Experience in building and operating global-scale platform services
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes-based microservices, API gateways, service mesh, caching, and database services
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiar with security best practices and customer data protection
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Caffeine
• Understanding of asynchronous, non-blocking, reactive programming
• Hands-on experience with frameworks like Spring WebFlux, Vert.x, Node.js
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills
