Job Description

CBRE is looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join the Agile Center of Excellence team. The role involves testing Power BI reports, integrating data warehouse solutions, and ensuring data integrity for CBRE Digital & Technology product teams. The ideal candidate should have experience in software testing strategies, Power BI, SQL Server, and .NET applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with an Agile team to test a suite of reports for decision-making insights
• Test Power BI reports using SQL Server, Excel, and DAX queries
• Validate integrations between a data warehouse and ALM systems like Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira using REST APIs and direct queries
• Run SQL queries, stored procedures, and SSIS packages to ensure data integrity
• Document code and requirements in a simple and sufficient manner
• Investigate and resolve complex data, system, and software issues in production

Skills Required

• 3-5 years of experience in manual and automated testing for a data warehouse environment
• Experience in testing Power BI reports and datasets
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and SSIS packages
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for ad hoc analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to provide efficient and reliable service to Agile COE customers and stakeholders
• Ability to effectively present information
