  • 2-3 years as Manual QA tester
  • 1-2 years of QA automation experience
  • 1 year within the insurance industry

Job Responsibilities:

Automation & Testing:

  • Learn and start owning efforts around automation and testing
  • Drive automated testing and contribute to defect investigation and resolution
  • Perform manual testing when automated tests do not exist
  • Work with teams on automation strategy and tool kit selection

Collaboration & Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate existing automation framework and drive continuous test coverage
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and report on automated test execution results
  • Create concise test execution and process documentation
  • Provide estimates on test planning and execution activities
  • Contribute to defect resolution with the scrum team

Metrics & Reporting:

  • Track individual KPIs, analyze data, and report on quality metrics
  • Keep team and management informed of key concerns with recommended solutions

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exposure to automated tests in Waterfall or Agile software development life cycle
  • Experience testing SaaS solutions and backend testing (web services, integration, databases)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Good written and oral communication in English
  • Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Self-starter, quick learner, and detail-oriented
