Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Linux / VMware Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Linux server administration, VMware virtualization, and system automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
- Monitor server performance, availability, and security across virtualized platforms.
- Perform regular system patching, upgrades, and backup management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization, storage, and networking.
- Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and application teams for smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Linux / VMware Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and virtual infrastructure management.
- Expertise in Linux server administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Knowledge of storage systems, networking, and automation tools (Shell, Bash, Python).
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach.
- Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, VCP are highly desirable.
