Overview

Blackhawk Network is looking to hire an accomplished Software Engineer to use cutting-edge technologies and build processing systems and solutions to handle the high-volume business transactions between Blackhawk and its partners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-performance software solutions using software architecture patterns, best practices, and aspect-oriented programming.
• Collaborate closely with architects to ensure building the right solution from the outset.
• Partner with product teams to ensure solutions align with the business vision and are delivered on schedule.
• Work closely with operations and support staff to ensure successful production delivery and smooth post-release handoff.

Qualifications

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 0+ years of software development experience with core Java and J2EE.
• Expertise in Java with practical experience using JDK 1.6 or above.
• Familiarity with Spring and Struts frameworks and writing multithreaded applications.
• Knowledge of RESTful architecture and implementation of REST Web Services.
• Experience in database design with DB2 or Oracle, with strong SQL skills.
• Strong Object-Oriented Design and development skills.
• Creative problem solver with excellent communication skills.
• Experience in the finance or payment industry is a plus.
