Role Overview:
As a Cloud Support Engineer I, you will be the Cloud Ambassador, assisting AWS customers with troubleshooting and optimizing media and content delivery solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, cloud expertise, and customer engagement abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support via phone, email, and live chat to AWS customers.
• Troubleshoot AWS services, cloud architectures, and distributed systems.
• Dive deep into root cause analysis and drive solutions for complex issues.
• Contribute to knowledge base articles, tutorials, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with AWS engineering teams to improve products and services.
• Continuously develop new technical skills and stay updated on emerging cloud technologies.
• Mentor new team members and participate in hiring processes.

Work Schedule:

• 5-day workweek (rotational shifts, including weekends).
• Possible shifts: Sunday - Thursday, Tuesday – Saturday, or Monday - Friday.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical role.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a relevant technical position.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (DNS, HTTP, SSL, SFTP, TCP, UDP).
• Experience with web-based services (Apache, Tomcat) and client/server architectures.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix or Windows system administration.
• Knowledge of file systems, block storage, object storage, and backup strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools (iperf, MTR, traceroute, dig).
• Exposure to REST APIs, OS security concepts, and best practices.
• Understanding of streaming video technologies (H.264, MP4, WEBM, HLS, MPEG-2, DASH, CMAF).
• Prior experience with AWS services (CloudFront, Simple Email Service, Elemental Media Services).
• Strong written, verbal, and documentation skills.
