Job Summary:

Signant Health is looking for a Cloud Operations Database Engineer to manage and optimize cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure DB, MongoDB) for clinical research solutions. The role focuses on performance tuning, automation, security, and DevOps for high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Database Administration: Manage AWS RDS, Aurora, Elastic Cache, MongoDB, Azure SQL DB.
✔ Performance Optimization: Optimize queries, indexing, capacity planning, and replication.
✔ Automation & DevOps: Automate database tasks using Python, PowerShell, Bash.
✔ Security & Compliance: Implement TLS encryption, access control, and monitoring.
✔ Cloud & Infrastructure: Work with AWS EKS, ECS, Azure AKS, Terraform, Ansible.
✔ Incident Response: Troubleshoot and resolve database-related performance and security issues.
✔ Migration & Modernization: Migrate Oracle to PostgreSQL and integrate databases with cloud environments.

Required Qualifications:

✅ BS in Computer Science or related field.
✅ 5+ years of database engineering experience in AWS/Azure environments.
✅ Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
✅ Hands-on experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
✅ Experience with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, TFS.
✅ Linux & Windows server administration knowledge.

Preferred Skills:

⭐ Experience with IIS, Tomcat, WebLogic, Apache for web server management.
⭐ Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, AWX).
⭐ Familiarity with Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
⭐ Strong background in cloud security best practices.
