Job Description

The Cloud Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure automation across a multi-cloud environment. This role requires expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with a focus on Terraform and cloud automation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on technology expertise, shaping the strategy for cloud engineering across the company
• Lead the development of automated cloud service onboarding through a service catalog
• Collaborate globally with Infrastructure & Cloud Ops, DevOps, and SRE teams
• Manage and maintain automation tools for operational processes
• Implement solutions following architectural best practices with guidance from senior members of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE)

Skills Required:

• Expert-level coding in Terraform, Python, or Java
• Strong understanding of cloud automation including auto-scaling, infrastructure provisioning, automated testing, and monitoring
• Experience with Lambda, API Gateway, and cloud-native networking, storage, and virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of software design patterns (Microservices, Messaging, Distributed Architectures)
• Hands-on experience with containers, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Pipelines, Container Repositories)
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Java, Python)
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Splunk, etc.)
• Familiarity with DevOps and GitOps models with Infrastructure/Configuration/Policy as Code
• Knowledge of Private Cloud and Public Cloud environments
