Job Description – High CPC Optimized

HID Global, a leading trusted identity solutions company, is hiring a DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic global engineering team in Chennai. This hybrid role requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, Linux & Windows server management, and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT solutions to meet business needs
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using IaC
• Automate deployment and configuration management on AWS Cloud
• Support and troubleshoot Linux and Windows infrastructure services (web, NFS, SFTP, DNS, LDAP)
• Perform OS hardening, patching, and security compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, etc.)
• Monitor system performance and implement tuning for optimal efficiency
• Collaborate with teams to assess requirements and recommend cloud-native solutions
• Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes
• Utilize scripting languages (Python, Ruby, PowerShell, JavaScript) for automation
• Document cloud architectures and operational run books
• Handle critical incident management and work in a 24/6 shift environment

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant technical fields
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps and cloud engineering
• Expertise with AWS public cloud services and cloud-native tools
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments and infrastructure services
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity
• Skilled with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Working knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, IAM, Active Directory
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficient scripting skills in Python, Ruby, PowerShell, or JavaScript
• Experience with ELK stack for monitoring and logging
• Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML formats
• Incident and change management experience using JIRA, ServiceNow

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Associate or Professional certification is a plus
• Exposure to Azure or Google Cloud platforms

Work Environment & Schedule

• Office-based with moderate noise levels in Chennai
• 24/6 shift rotation including night shifts (Preference for male candidates due to shift requirements)
