Role Overview
As a Software Engineer on the Platform Team at Headout, you'll work on building, maintaining, and scaling internal platform infrastructure. You’ll focus on Kubernetes operations, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling, and performance improvements to empower the entire engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize Kubernetes clusters and workloads
• Manage infrastructure across cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Build scalable CI/CD workflows (GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins)
• Implement observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, NewRelic, Datadog)
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform or Pulumi
• Collaborate with teams to improve system performance and reliability
• Drive initiatives to improve alerting, security, and incident response
• Mentor interns and contribute to team learning

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years in customer-facing service environments
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Hands-on with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Java/Kotlin and shell scripting
• Strong CI/CD knowledge (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Terraform or Pulumi for Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Understanding of security and compliance practices
• High ownership and proactive problem-solving attitude
