What You’ll Do:

• Provide 24/7 infrastructure and platform support for the Data Platform infrastructure setup for Data Engineering teams.
• Automate and improve development and release processes, especially for application deployment and GKE platforms.
• Manage and maintain data platforms, data lakes, and datastores using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Own the end-to-end availability, performance, and capacity of applications and infrastructure.
• Create and maintain observability tools using Prometheus, New Relic, ELK, and Loki.
• Define and support SLAs, SLOs, and Error Budgets, performing root cause analysis for production errors.
• Collaborate with Core Infra, Dev, and Product teams to define observability metrics and identify bottlenecks.
• Manage outages and lead detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with developers to avoid recurrence.
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience managing high-traffic, large-scale microservices and infrastructure with troubleshooting expertise.
• Technologies: Experience with distributed processing engines, distributed databases, and messaging queues (Kafka, PubSub, RabbitMQ).
• Data Platform Expertise: Experience with setting up and managing data platforms, data lakes, and data ingestion systems.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python and Golang for interacting with internal data stores.
• Tools: Familiarity with BigQuery, Trino, Pinot, Airflow, Superset (MongoDB and Redis are a plus).
• Containerization: Expertise in managing and deploying containerized environments using Docker/containerd, Kubernetes.
• Networking: Strong knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, UDP, GRPC, Routing, and Load Balancing.
• Automation: Expertise in GitOps, IaC tools (Terraform), and Configuration Management tools (Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, Ansible).
• Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud (GCP) or similar cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• CI/CD: Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Spinnaker, Argo.
