Job Description
Gravity Engineering Services is hiring a Junior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong Java programming and debugging skills to join our growing DevOps and infrastructure team. This is a full-time, high-impact role that involves improving system reliability, optimizing performance, and automating deployments for large-scale infrastructure in a cloud-native, containerized environment.
Key Responsibilities
System Reliability & Performance
- Monitor availability and reliability of key services
- Define and optimize SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs
- Identify and troubleshoot system performance bottlenecks
Incident Management & Monitoring
- Assist in production incident resolution and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Improve monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic APM
- Participate in on-call rotations
Java Coding & Debugging
- Write, debug, and optimize Java applications
- Collaborate with backend teams to enhance Java service reliability
- Work on JVM monitoring, thread dumps, heap analysis, and log analysis
Automation & Infrastructure
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Helm, Terraform, or Ansible
- Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure provisioning
- Improve scalability, fault tolerance, and system efficiency
Collaboration & Continuous Learning
- Work closely with senior engineers and DevOps teams
- Expand your skillset in Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, and container orchestration
Required Skills (High-CPC Keywords)

- Infrastructure as Code (Helm, Ansible, Terraform)

- Python / Bash / Go Scripting

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2–4 years experience in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Infrastructure roles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Familiarity with networking concepts and Linux internals
