Role Overview
We are hiring a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and scale cloud-based backend infrastructure. This role focuses on AWS cloud services, CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and high-availability systems supporting FastAPI-based microservices with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

You will work closely with backend and frontend engineering teams to ensure secure deployments, system scalability, performance optimization, and reliable monitoring across environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend microservices (FastAPI) and frontend builds
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, ALB, Lambda
• Deploy and manage Dockerized applications using Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Manage and scale PostgreSQL (RDS) and MongoDB clusters
• Optimize backend performance including caching, connection pooling, and scalability
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK
• Enforce cloud security best practices (IAM, WAF, SSL/TLS, network policies)
• Troubleshoot issues across Dev, Staging, and Production environments
• Build and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
• Strong experience with AWS cloud architecture and cost optimization
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and Shell / Python scripting
• Hands-on experience deploying and scaling FastAPI applications
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning, replication, and AWS RDS
• Working knowledge of MongoDB (replica sets, indexing, backups)
• Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
• Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and application security
• Strong experience with Git and version control workflows

Nice to Have

• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
• Familiarity with Redis, Celery
• Exposure to API Gateway, AWS Lambda, CDN, and edge caching
• Experience with multi-account AWS or multi-tenant architectures
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, SOC2, ISO 27001 compliance
• Experience with FFMPEG and Shaka encoding/transcoding

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
