Role Overview
As a Cloud Support Engineer Specialist - GCP (Platform), you will support Google Cloud Platform’s (GCP) most prestigious customers by troubleshooting complex issues and driving solutions. You will demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle response, diagnosis, resolution, and tracking of customer issues via phone, email, and chat.
- Maintain response and resolution speed within defined SLAs.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and quality scores.
- Use troubleshooting tools to diagnose root causes and document resolutions.
- Understand customer business impact and prioritize issues accordingly.
- File issue reports and collaborate with Google engineers for bug diagnosis and resolution.
- Conduct community management and escalate technical incidents promptly.
- Provide customer-specific architectural guidance.
- Advocate for critical customer issues with Google engineers and Program Managers.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication.
- Any Associate-level Cloud Certification (preferably GCP).
- 3–6 years in customer support with serverless platforms, storage, and developer tools.
- Hands-on experience with any cloud platform.
- Coding skills in Golang, C++, Python, or SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with relational/non-relational databases.
- Strong understanding of data structures.
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and database migration.
