About the Role
Google Cloud is hiring a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Consulting Professional Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based technical architectures that support customer transformation journeys. This includes delivering scalable infrastructure, troubleshooting critical issues, and guiding cloud migrations in collaboration with global enterprise clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, automation, and infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience with cloud solutions architecture, networking, compute infrastructure, and virtualized environments.
• Proficiency in Terraform scripting, and exposure to DevOps, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Site Reliability Engineering, and networking protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification and/or Kubernetes (GKE) expertise.
• Experience with cloud migration planning, service discovery, and execution.
• Strong knowledge of IT security practices, encryption, IAM, and key management.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, dual encoders, and embedding vectors on GCP.
• Solid foundation in Linux system administration, software development, network design, or database/storage management.
• Experience building prototypes or applications for enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a cloud infrastructure expert guiding Google Cloud customers through architecture design, implementation, and migration.
• Collaborate with clients to optimize cloud applications and infrastructure based on business needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues during and after deployment.
• Create and share best practices via blog articles, code samples, tutorials, and documentation.
• Travel (up to 30%) within region for technical engagements, delivery activities, and stakeholder meetings.
