This role offers end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, security, and reliability for production-grade healthcare AI systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Role Overview
This position is ideal for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who thrives in startup environments, owns systems from design to production, and has strong experience building cloud-native, scalable, and secure platforms on GCP.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure (GCP)

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Operate production services using:
  • Cloud Run (containerized workloads)
  • Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL)
  • BigQuery (analytics & data workloads)
  • Cloud Storage, Cloud Tasks, Pub/Sub

CI/CD & DevOps Automation

• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable deployments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) across environments
• Automate deployments, rollbacks, and environment provisioning

Reliability, Monitoring & Operations

• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of production systems
• Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response workflows
• Respond to production incidents and perform root-cause analysis

Database & Performance Engineering

• Manage PostgreSQL performance, scaling, backups, and reliability
• Implement indexing, tuning, and optimization strategies

Security & Cost Optimization

• Enforce cloud security best practices, IAM policies, secrets management
• Secure service-to-service communication and audit logging
• Drive cost optimization and FinOps best practices across GCP

Collaboration & Ownership

• Work closely with Backend, Frontend, and AI Engineers
• Establish and document DevOps standards and best practices
• Take full ownership from design to production

Required Skills & Experience

Core Experience

• 3+ years in DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure / SRE
• Strong production experience on Google Cloud Platform

Cloud & Containers

• Docker
• Kubernetes (GKE)
• Cloud Run
• Microservices & cloud-native architectures

Infrastructure as Code

• Terraform (mandatory, production-level experience)

CI/CD & Operations

• CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation
• Monitoring, logging, alerting, and rollback strategies

Databases

• PostgreSQL (performance tuning, backups, reliability)

Security & Reliability

• IAM, secrets management, secure communication patterns

• Experience with AI, data, or analytics platforms
• BigQuery hands-on experience
• Messaging systems: Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks
• Healthcare or regulated-industry exposure
