The Role

• Plan, manage, and oversee all aspects of a Production Environment
• Define strategies for Application Performance Monitoring and Optimization in the production environment
• Respond to incidents and improve the platform based on feedback, measuring the reduction of incidents over time
• Support deployment of code into multiple lower environments with a strong focus on automation
• Design, develop, and standardize monitoring and alerting mechanisms for supported applications
• Take a holistic approach to problem-solving by connecting the dots across the tech stack to optimize mean time to recovery
• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services — from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement
• Analyze ITSM activities and provide feedback to development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns
• Support services before they go live through system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews
• Maintain services post-launch by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
• Scale systems sustainably through automation and evolving systems for reliability and velocity
• Work with a global team spread across multiple geographies and time zones
• Share knowledge and mentor junior resources
• Perform on-call duties on a rotational basis and occasional off-hours work when required

Requirements

Must-Have

• Linux
• Shell Scripting
• ITIL / ITSM
• Basic knowledge of PL/SQL
• Application troubleshooting skills
• Cloud knowledge/experience (any cloud platform)
• Monitoring tools like Splunk/Dynatrace
• Jenkins (CI/CD)
• Groovy Scripting / YAML
• Basic Git/Bitbucket knowledge
• Ansible/Chef (Good to have)

Good to Have

• Framework architecture knowledge
