What You’ll Be Working On

As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in scaling and optimizing Founda’s hybrid cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a global Kubernetes strategy across hybrid on-premise and cloud environments.
• Automating infrastructure provisioning with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Building and extending internal tooling for engineering and support teams.
• Designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Argo CD.
• Enhancing observability using Elastic Cloud APM, Prometheus, and the EFK stack.
• Ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications.

• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, Velero, Prometheus, Aikido
• Cloud Platforms: AWS (primary), hybrid environments
• SaaS Solutions: Elastic Cloud, GitLab CI/CD, Cloudflare, BetterUptime
• Databases & Queues: PostgreSQL, Redpanda
• Networking & Security: VPN, firewalls, DNS

Who You Are

• 2+ years of production experience in Kubernetes environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS (or other cloud platforms).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally Terraform.
• Skilled in building high-performance CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or shell scripting.
• Advocate for cloud-native principles and secure development practices.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset in an international environment.
