Fortanix is a dynamic start-up solving global data protection challenges with disruptive technology for enterprises and governments. We are seeking passionate individuals for the Software Engineer Intern role to join our R&D team and contribute to hybrid cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to deployment and automation processes, including research, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in monitoring and maintaining current infrastructure.
• Improve Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools, processes, and procedures.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain cloud security platform backend (Rust, C).
• Help deploy, monitor, and tune performance.
• Follow security best practices and help improve software security.
• Contribute to a friendly and helpful company culture.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of software security principles and secure software development.
• Proficient in Rust, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Go.
• Experience with software deployment tools such as Kubernetes or Docker.
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong debugging skills and effective communication.
• Experience in cloud software services, design for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Preferred

• Knowledge in basic Cloud Architecture.
• Experience in Rust and/or C++.
