Job Description
FMG is hiring passionate and motivated individuals for a 6-month internship as a Trainee Software Engineer. Interns will gain real-world experience in building, maintaining, and deploying both frontend and backend web applications.
The role offers a hybrid work model, exposure to modern tech stacks, and a chance to earn a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building and maintaining scalable web applications
- Work with frontend (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend (PHP or Python) technologies
- Collaborate with senior engineers for design and deployment
- Troubleshoot bugs and write clean, efficient code
- Integrate APIs and work with third-party services
- Follow coding standards and Agile best practices
Required Skills
- Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Hands-on knowledge of MySQL, MariaDB, or MSSQL
- Experience with PHP or Python for backend development
- Familiarity with GIT and repositories like GitHub or BitBucket
- Basic knowledge of Linux-based OS like Ubuntu
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Laravel and packages like Passport, Mix, Socialite
- Understanding of Nginx / Apache, Composer / NPM, and SCSS/SASS
- Exposure to REST APIs and tools like Elasticsearch
