Role Overview – Junior DevOps Engineer
The Junior DevOps Engineer will support the Platform and Lead DevOps Engineer in maintaining cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and observability tools. You’ll gain hands-on experience in production systems, learn from senior engineers, and grow into a critical member of the DevOps and platform function.

Location: London, Hybrid (2 days office / flexible remote)
Experience Required: 1+ year or equivalent personal projects, internships, or open-source contributions

Key Responsibilities

• Support deployment and management of AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Assist with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters; maintain container build pipelines.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Contribute to monitoring and observability stack using Prometheus, Grafana.
• Support SOC 2 compliance and audit readiness tasks.
• Participate in triage and incident response, learning SRE best practices.
• Work with ML engineers to support model deployment and pipelines.

Required Skills

• Basic experience with AWS or another cloud provider
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization concepts
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Scripting or programming proficiency (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Strong automation, reliability, and continuous improvement mindset

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or DevSecOps practices
• ML/AI workflow experience (model deployment, GPUs)
• Advanced experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
• Knowledge of Linux internals, networking, and container runtime fundamentals
