The Opportunity

FICO’s Platform Capabilities Foundational Services team is looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with a strong background in AWS engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure services. Experience with message streaming technologies like Kafka or Pulsar is a plus.

What You’ll Contribute

• Design, build, and maintain core shared infrastructure and AWS account lifecycle management.
• Work on distributed systems using streaming and messaging technologies (Kafka, Pulsar).
• Ensure systems meet performance, availability, and scalability requirements.
• Implement security best practices, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
• Document architecture, implementation, and operational procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AWS and DevOps technologies.

What We’re Seeking

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Strong experience in AWS engineering (EC2, RDS, EKS, ECS, S3, IAM, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Experience with Kafka, Pulsar, or similar message streaming technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm for container orchestration.
• Strong networking, security, automation, and performance optimization skills in AWS.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certification (preferred).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Monitoring & Logging (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, CloudTrail).
• DevOps & CI/CD experience (Jenkins, Git, Agile methodologies).
• Strong Linux and Windows systems engineering experience.
