About This Role

Fam is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who excels in building systems from scratch and scaling them to handle massive real-world traffic. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable systems to ensure optimal user experiences. If solving complex challenges and fine-tuning infrastructure excites you, this is the perfect opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines across all backend and frontend services.
• Design and implement scaling policies for services and internal tools (e.g., Metabase, Kafka, Appsmith).
• Define IAM policies and Kubernetes roles to maintain security and usability balance.
• Monitor and patch security vulnerabilities proactively.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for triaging and resolving production issues.
• Review engineering design documents for best practices in reliability, security, and scalability.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience working with AWS services.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience with EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) and container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of scaling strategies and cloud compliance policies.
