Job Description

EY is seeking an AWS Cloud Native Engineer to design and implement cloud-native applications using AWS technologies. You will work with global, multi-disciplinary teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Develop cloud-native applications using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, DynamoDB, Glue, Redshift, and EMR.
• Deployment & Automation: Implement CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Architecture Design: Collaborate with architects to design scalable and secure AWS application architectures.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize application performance.
• Security: Implement IAM, encryption, and secure coding practices.
• Container Services Management: Deploy and manage containerized applications using ECS, EKS, and AWS Fargate.
• Application Observability: Use AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for monitoring and logging.
• Integration: Ensure seamless integration of AWS services with external systems.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve performance, availability, and reliability issues.
• Documentation: Maintain technical documentation for application design and deployment processes.

Skills & Attributes for Success

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, DynamoDB, S3, RDS, Glue, Redshift, EMR).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, KMS, encryption).
• Proficiency in observability tools (AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Experience in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
• 3-4 years of experience in AWS-focused application engineering.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
