About the Internship Role:

As a Gen AI Intern, you'll be part of the team developing voice-based conversational agents using technologies like LLMs, ASR, and TTS. This is a practical, high-impact internship where you'll work on real-world conversational AI systems that operate over telephony and audio channels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and test GenAI-based voice bots for real-time conversations
• Integrate ASR, LLMs, and TTS systems into Exotel's stack
• Prepare conversational datasets and support fine-tuning efforts
• Help design test frameworks for LLM evaluation
• Prototype new voice bot capabilities using open-source tools
• Document experiments and insights

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Python or similar language
• Strong grasp of OOP, data structures, and modular programming
• Familiarity with machine learning and NLP basics
• Willingness to learn about voice interaction systems (ASR, TTS)
• Good analytical and communication skills

Good to Have:

• Experience with real-time audio streaming or speech APIs
• Knowledge of ASR, NLU, LLM, and TTS pipelines
• Understanding of LangChain, RAG pipelines, or similar frameworks
• Exposure to MLOps, fine-tuning LLMs, or deploying models
• Open-source contributions or participation in ML hackathons
