Role: Jr. DevOps Engineer

Element8 is seeking an enthusiastic Junior DevOps Engineer who wants to build a career in Cloud Infrastructure and Automation.
You’ll work with senior engineers and gain real-world experience in CI/CD, AWS Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Implementation

• Learn and apply DevOps principles under the mentorship of senior engineers.
• Assist in implementing automated build, deployment, and monitoring workflows.

Version Control & Collaboration

• Use Git and GitLab for source-code management and collaboration.

Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

• Help configure Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, and GitLab CI pipelines.
• Participate in automating testing and deployment processes.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Gain exposure to Docker and Kubernetes for scalable container management.

Cloud Services

• Learn to deploy and manage resources on AWS EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC.

Configuration Management & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Support automation using Ansible and Terraform.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor application health with Amazon CloudWatch and Nagios.

Collaboration Tools

• Use JIRA for task tracking and sprint planning.

Basic Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications: Completed a DevOps or Cloud Computing course.
• Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of Linux/Ubuntu environments.
  • Familiar with scripting languages (Shell, Python, JavaScript).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and eagerness to learn.
