Job Description
Johnson Electric is hiring an IT Support Engineer to manage end-user, infrastructure, and ERP support operations in Chennai. The ideal candidate will handle Level 1 and 2 technical support, PC setups, server/network equipment diagnostics, and corporate IT implementations in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
End-User Support
- Support users with PC, printer, and scanner issues
- Setup and configure endpoints per corporate standards
- Hardware maintenance and peripheral troubleshooting
- Account management: password resets, onboarding, access provisioning
Infrastructure Support
- Maintain server and network systems
- Onsite support for diagnostics, fault resolution, and patching
- Assist with setup, installation, and remote troubleshooting by corporate IT
- Backup status checks and tape/media management
Service Desk & IT Operations
- Respond to support tickets via phone/email/chat
- Log, prioritize, and track incidents to resolution
- Troubleshoot hardware/software/network issues
- Maintain clear documentation and assist with IT policy adherence
Video Conference Support
- Setup and upgrade of local VC systems
- Call handling and technical troubleshooting
- Assist corporate IT during outages or escalated VC issues
Required Skills & Competencies (High-CPC Keywords)
- IT Support Engineer roles in Manufacturing Sector
- Strong knowledge of PC Setup & Deployment
- Proficiency in Endpoint Management and LAN/WAN support
- Windows OS Support, printer configuration, hardware diagnosis
- Experience with Ticketing Systems, ERP Support (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge of Networking Concepts, video conferencing tools
- Ability to work independently and handle on-site user issues
