Job Overview

We are actively hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise-grade cloud and data center infrastructure. This role is tailored for professionals with strong VMware experience, cloud infrastructure knowledge, networking expertise, and security awareness.

You will work on production-critical systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security while supporting enterprise-scale IT operations. This role is ideal for engineers looking to work in cloud computing, virtualization, and IT infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

• VMware & Virtualization Management: Maintain and optimize VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtual infrastructure.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage hybrid and private cloud environments; support migration, deployment, and automation.
• Network & Security: Configure and monitor firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing, IP management, and access control.
• Data Center Operations: Support server, storage, and network systems with hands-on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for uptime, resource utilization, and security events.
• Incident Response: Respond to production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Infrastructure Optimization: Analyze and optimize cloud and on-prem infrastructure for performance, cost, and efficiency.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work with cross-functional IT teams and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud / Infrastructure / VMware Engineer
• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of firewall configuration, security policies, and networking fundamentals
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments in production
• Hands-on exposure to data center support, monitoring tools, and cloud infrastructure
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and incident management skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced enterprise environments

Preferred / High-Value Skills

• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – cloud infrastructure management
• Experience in hybrid cloud, private cloud, or enterprise cloud migration projects
• Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, backup & disaster recovery, and cloud security frameworks
• Cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, CCNA/CCNP
