Job Description:

DoorDash is hiring Entry-Level Software Engineers passionate about building scalable, high-performance backend systems for the world’s leading on-demand logistics platform. Join a fast-growing team powering millions of daily deliveries across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and ship scalable backend systems with mentor support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems
• Write clean, tested code in object-oriented languages like Python, Java, or Kotlin
• Contribute to improving system efficiency, scalability, and stability
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and version control processes
• Learn about continuous integration, real-time systems, and API design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduation between Fall 2024 and Summer 2025
• At least 2 software engineering internships or equivalent experience
• Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and databases (SQL)
• Experience in object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with large-scale web applications and service-oriented architectures
• Exposure to continuous integration and deployment tools
• Ability to analyze and optimize system performance
