Role Summary

As a Junior IT Administrator, you will ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations by managing endpoints, cloud infrastructure, SaaS applications, identity access, and security operations. You will gain hands-on exposure to Azure Cloud, VMware, Microsoft 365, GitHub Enterprise, DevOps tooling, and IT Security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Endpoint & Asset Management

• Image, deploy, and decommission Windows, macOS, and Linux laptops
• Manage MDM policies using Microsoft Intune
• Track IT assets using CMDB and asset-tagging tools

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Set up and patch VMware hosts, Windows/Linux VMs, and network appliances
• Create, monitor, and manage Microsoft Azure resources (AWS exposure planned)
• Automate backups, disaster recovery (DR), and testing

Identity & Access Management

• Provision SSO accounts using Azure AD and Okta
• Enforce least-privilege access (RBAC)
• Rotate and secure secrets using HashiCorp Vault / Bitwarden

Security Operations

• Respond to Tier-1 security and system alerts
• Perform monthly patching and vulnerability scans
• Support phishing simulations and security awareness programs

Tooling & Dev Enablement

• Administer GitHub Enterprise repositories (branch protection, CODEOWNERS)
• Manage Jira, Confluence, CI/CD runners, and artifact registries

IT Service Desk

• Resolve hardware and software support tickets
• Maintain knowledge base articles and onboarding documentation

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: BCA / Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
  (Final-semester students with relevant internships are welcome)
• Experience: 0–2 years in Helpdesk, System Administration, IT Support, or DevOps Internship
• Technical Skills:
  • Windows & Linux CLI fundamentals
  • Networking basics (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS)
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Understanding of OAuth, SAML, MFA, and Git version control

Good-to-Have Skills

• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft AZ-900, AWS Cloud Practitioner
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Exposure to CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001, or ITSM tools (Jira Service Management, Freshservice)
• Basics of Docker and Kubernetes
