Cyient is hiring a DevOps Engineer (Associate) in Hyderabad to support and enhance cloud-native infrastructure, CI/CD automation, Kubernetes platforms, and AWS services. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in AWS, GitHub Actions, Terraform, EKS, Kafka monitoring, and GitOps practices who want to grow in a modern DevOps and cloud engineering environment.

Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer at Cyient, you will work on building, automating, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment reliability, system observability, security compliance, and infrastructure automation using industry-standard DevOps tools and practices.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD & Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated application deployments.
• Implement and support GitOps workflows using Argo CD for Kubernetes-based environments.
• Automate operational and compliance tasks using AWS Lambda, including notifications and security checks.

Cloud & Container Management

• Assist in managing AWS EKS clusters, including deployments, scaling, upgrades, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor Apache Kafka clusters, tracking consumer lag, throughput, and partition health to ensure system stability.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Write, maintain, and optimize Terraform scripts for AWS infrastructure provisioning.
• Ensure consistent configuration and environment management across development, staging, and production.

Configuration & Security

• Implement application configuration strategies using AWS AppConfig.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and compliance checks using AWS Inspector and security best practices.

Monitoring & Observability

• Set up monitoring dashboards and alerts for EKS, Kafka, and AWS services using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA).

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of AWS services including Lambda, EKS, AppConfig, and Inspector.
• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals and Kafka monitoring.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for DevOps automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Cloud Computing, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Strong understanding of containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native architectures.

• Experience with Argo CD, Helm, or Kustomize.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, or other observability tools.
• Exposure to feature flag management, progressive delivery, and deployment strategies.
