Role Overview The Cloud Operations Engineer role is a high-impact position focused on enterprise cloud reliability, automation, observability, and DevOps best practices. This role is ideal for engineers experienced in cloud operations, site reliability engineering (SRE), and distributed systems who want to work on large-scale, revenue-critical SaaS platforms.

You will take ownership of cloud production environments, drive operational excellence, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced operational support for enterprise cloud-hosted services
  • Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and fault tolerance
  • Design and maintain automation frameworks for deployments and incident response
  • Build and manage monitoring, alerting, and observability dashboards
  • Develop and maintain runbooks and operational documentation
  • Lead troubleshooting for complex production incidents
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term remediation strategies
  • Collaborate with software, platform, and product teams on cloud architecture
  • Support DevOps, SRE, and cloud reliability initiatives

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with cloud monitoring, tracing, and distributed systems
  • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or C# scripting
  • Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on expertise with Azure cloud services (preferred)
  • Knowledge of PaaS compute, messaging, and data storage services
  • Familiarity with Docker, semantic versioning, and container deployment strategies
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or Azure Application Insights
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

Preferred Enterprise Experience

  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
  • Multi-region cloud deployments
  • Cloud cost optimization and performance tuning
  • Infrastructure automation and DevOps governance
  • Secure enterprise cloud environments

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or SRE roles
  • Experience supporting production-grade SaaS platforms

Compensation & Salary Range (High-CPC Section) 💰 Annual Salary (United States Market):

  • $85,500 – $117,000 USD per year
  • Compensation varies by location, experience, and cloud expertise
