Overview

A leading technology organization is hiring Tech Trainee – DevOps (On-Premises Infrastructure) for its Gurugram office. This full-time, entry-level position is perfect for freshers who want to build a career in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, Linux/Windows Administration, and On-Premise Datacenter Operations.

You will work with system administrators and development teams to streamline deployment processes, manage servers, automate tasks, and support enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in configuring and maintaining servers, storage, and network infrastructure in on-premise environments.
• Support and automate build, deployment, and release pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Ansible.
• Monitor and maintain Linux and Windows servers for availability and performance.
• Manage version control systems (Git) including branching, merging, and release activities.
• Develop basic automation scripts using Shell, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Assist with application deployments in test, staging, and production environments.
• Support system monitoring, log management, and performance tuning using Nagios, Zabbix, or ELK Stack.
• Participate in backup, recovery, and security management processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems and basic Windows server concepts.
• Knowledge of IP addressing, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git).
• Basic scripting skills (Shell, Bash, Python).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation abilities.
• Passion for automation and improving system reliability.

• Exposure to VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM virtualization platforms.
• Understanding of configuration management and infrastructure provisioning.
