Job Summary
As a Software Engineer II, you will design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and support software solutions. You will ensure quality, reliability, performance, maintainability, and security of applications, and help elevate the engineering standards within your squad.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support secure, scalable software applications.
• Contribute to agile processes: stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprints, demos, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with product owners to clarify work breakdowns, estimates, and dependencies.
• Maintain application design and documentation.
• Review peer code, participate in pair programming, and follow quality standards.
• Monitor application performance, debug issues, and contribute to system uptime and security.
• Engage in DevOps practices including CI/CD automation and support playbook maintenance.
• Experiment with new technologies through proof-of-concepts.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on coding in Python, Scala, SQL, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective team collaboration and communication.
• Experience in Azure Cloud services (Logic Apps, Function Apps) is a plus.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and data services in cloud platforms.
• Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and tools.
• Exposure to Data Governance, Data Catalogs, or Metadata Management preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in wholesale or retail systems.
• Working knowledge of agile methodologies.
• Understanding of secure coding and software lifecycle.
• Time and project management skills.

Job Environment

• Hybrid role (office/remote working).
• Standard working hours.
• No travel expected.
