Role Overview:

As a Platform Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled team focused on improving security posture, productivity, and reducing time to market with automation. You will collaborate across teams to ensure applications are designed for Continuous Delivery (CD) and are well-architected for both on-premise and cloud environments. If you are passionate about developer productivity, cloud-native applications, and container orchestration, this role is for you.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Capture the flow and bottlenecks in IT delivery processes.
• Define future tool sets with mentoring from senior team members.
• Focus on building self-service capabilities to improve security, productivity, and reduce time to market.

Skills and Software Requirements:

• Languages: Python, Go, SQL, Java, or Scala.
• Cloud: GCP data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Storage, IAM).
• Tools: Jenkins, Maven, Git, Ansible, CHEF.
• Containers/Orchestration: Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker Swarm, container registries (GCE, Docker Hub).
• Experience: Working with [SPI]aaS (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
• Data: Acquiring, cleansing, and ingesting structured and unstructured data on the cloud.
• Automation: Implementing automated solutions to technical problems.
• Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.

What You’ll Do:

• Work with cloud-native applications and container orchestration tools to improve deployment processes.
• Enable and support data movement and combine data from disparate sources into a unified data view (e.g., Data Lake).
• Design and build tools that automate repetitive tasks, making security, quality, and performance a priority.

• Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related fields.
• Experience: 3-6+ years of experience in Platform Engineering and related tools/services.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of cloud services, automation tools, and container orchestration.
