Job Summary
CME Group is hiring a Software Engineer I to contribute to secure, scalable, and reliable technology solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Write application modules and unit tests with mentorship
• Conduct small-scale coding and minimal design implementation
• Execute unit testing and review results with guidance
• Apply basic knowledge of SQL and database modeling
• Implement software based on designs from managers
• Optimize code and participate in environment deployments
• Resolve defects and improve code quality based on feedback

Required Skills

• Basic proficiency in at least one programming language
• Understanding of database concepts and SQL
• Ability to write unit test cases and debug code
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Exposure to software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Interest in financial markets or trading systems is a plus
