Role Overview

CloudSEK is seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer to scale and optimize cloud-native production environments primarily built on AWS and Kubernetes. This role covers the full lifecycle of infrastructure — from provisioning with Terraform to managing complex traffic routing and implementing deep observability.

The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, infrastructure reliability, container orchestration, and production-grade cloud systems, and is comfortable troubleshooting real-world infrastructure challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes & Container Orchestration

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, Kubeadm).
• Operate and optimize containerized workloads in production environments.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Provision multi-cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate operational workflows using Python, Bash, or Go.

Traffic Management & Networking

• Manage NGINX Ingress, AWS Application Load Balancers, and Kubernetes Gateway API.
• Implement advanced deployment strategies such as Canary and Blue/Green deployments.

CI/CD & GitOps

• Build and optimize pipelines using GitLab CI and GitHub Actions.
• Manage deployments through ArgoCD and GitOps methodologies.

Observability & Monitoring

• Implement the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir/Prometheus).
• Monitor infrastructure health and improve system reliability.

Database & Production Operations

• Support setup, tuning, and backups for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production issues.

Security & Reliability

• Manage secrets using Vault or External Secrets.
• Strengthen infrastructure security and automate compliance practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, SQS).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Terraform and scripting with Python or Bash.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TLS/SSL, and load balancing.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Advanced Linux system administration skills with performance tuning experience.

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with multi-region or multi-cluster deployments.
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
• Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles such as SLIs and SLOs.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and container hardening.
