L1 Support Engineer - Linux
Company: ClearTrail Technologies
Location: Delhi, India (Onsite)


Role Overview:

ClearTrail Technologies is seeking an L1 Support Engineer (Linux) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in production support, particularly in a 24/7 support environment. The role requires working on-site at the client's location in Delhi/Gurgaon to provide technical support and ensure system performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Linux Support:

    • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and basic commands.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
    • Deploy applications in production environments ensuring smooth, error-free processes.
  • 24/7 Production Support:

    • Provide production support for end customers.
    • Comfortable working in a 24/7 support environment.
  • Monitoring & System Performance:

    • Use monitoring tools to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Customer Support:

    • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, gather details about reported issues, and provide solutions.
  • Documentation & Ticketing:

    • Document issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
    • Use ticketing systems like JIRA or ServiceNow to manage and resolve tickets.
  • On-Site Support:

    • Provide on-site support at customer locations.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective technical support.
  • Server Management:

    • Manage physical servers (setup, OS installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:

    • 1-3 years of experience in a production support role.
    • Comfortable in a 24/7 support environment.
    • Experience with ticketing systems such as JIRA or ServiceNow.
  • Linux Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
  • Deployment Skills:

    • Proficient in deploying applications in production environments.
  • Technical Certifications:

    • Certifications in ITIL, Linux Administration, or Cisco are a plus.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving ability to handle customer issues efficiently.

Working Hours and Conditions:

  • Working Days:

    • 6 days a week, with alternate Saturdays off.
  • Mode of Work:

    • Work from office only at client locations in Delhi/Gurgaon.
