Position Summary

CereCore is seeking an Entry-Level Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer to support the Clinical Services Group within ITG.
This role is responsible for managing critical infrastructure that enables healthcare providers to deliver high-quality patient care across thousands of care sites.

The ideal candidate can quickly learn existing systems, implement automation, and research new technologies to optimize operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build tools, automations, and infrastructure to enable SysOps teams with minimal manual intervention.
• Write automation scripts using Python and Ansible.
• Operate infrastructure with Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, in hybrid cloud environments (Azure & GCP) and on-premise.
• Design and implement custom 24x7 monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Document processes and turn findings into repeatable actions and automations.
• Research, investigate, and implement new technologies for system improvements.
• Build proactive monitoring that alerts symptoms before outages occur.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to incidents affecting critical processes impacting patient care or financials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in Linux & Windows administration.
• Strong programming skills (Python, C#, Go, Java).
• Experience with scripting languages: Bash/Shell, PowerShell.
• Knowledge of relational databases: MSSQL, MySQL.
• Experience with web servers: Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, IIS.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog, ELK, LGMT stack.
• Experience with configuration management tools: Ansible, Chef.
• Knowledge of Git for collaborative code management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, TFS).
• Strong troubleshooting skills across the full technology stack.
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
• Ability to analyze and solve complex business & technical problems.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and DevOps automation.
• Knowledge of proactive monitoring and alerting systems.
• Experience in healthcare IT systems is a plus.
