The Role
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting computer systems, diagnosing hardware/software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop systems (Level 2 support)
- Install, maintain, and repair computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability
- Recommend infrastructure improvements in line with IT policies
- Conduct penetration testing to identify system vulnerabilities
- Develop and implement security frameworks, policies, and guidelines
- Manage vulnerability assessments and resolve security incidents
- Design and support network infrastructure
Ideal Candidate
- Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Support, Network, or Systems Engineering
- Hands-on experience in desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and system maintenance
- Working knowledge of computer repair, IT support tools, and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player capable of managing multiple tasks and stakeholders
- Analytical thinker with data-handling skills
