Job Description

Capital One is a leading financial services company known for innovation in credit cards, auto loans, savings, and commercial banking. As a Software Engineering Intern at Capital One’s DataLabs in India, you will work on advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning to solve real-world business problems.

Responsibilities

• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Follow software development best practices and deploy applications in AWS cloud environments using CI/CD pipelines
• Utilize engineering practices like pair programming, TDD, ATDD, and refactoring techniques
• Stay updated with the latest tech trends and experiment with new technologies
• Develop backend, middleware, or frontend services using Java, SQL/NoSQL, Python, Angular, Lit, TypeScript, and AWS
• Exposure to Big Data (Spark, Scala) and Machine Learning (ML) is possible
• Encourage innovation, teamwork, and diversity
• Follow Agile principles for continuous software delivery

Qualifications

• Proficiency in at least one programming language with a willingness to learn others
• Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science (in progress or completed)
• Knowledge of frameworks like Spring Boot, relational/NoSQL databases, and message queues (preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
