About the Role – DevOps Intern

Black Duck Software is seeking enthusiastic and motivated interns to join its CloudOps (DevOps) team in Bangalore.
This 6–8 month internship offers hands-on experience in managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and supporting scalable production systems.

As a Software Engineering Intern (DevOps), you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers on real-world projects that directly impact production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and monitoring cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Work with Kubernetes clusters for deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Support CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Automate tasks using Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance.
• Contribute to DevOps automation and process optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR graduating in 2025.
• Basic knowledge or coursework in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and associated tools.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Exposure to GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
