Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Informatics Support:

  • Assist with pre-implementation and sales processes by negotiating with stakeholders like IT security teams for acceptance of BD Informatics solutions into customers' IT environments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (IT, Project Managers, Engineers) to ensure successful implementation and integration of BD Informatics software.

• Implementation & Customization:

  • Lead the implementation and customization of BD Informatics solutions, ensuring integration with customer IT infrastructure and BD Diagnostics instruments.
  • Perform installation and configuration of applications, network port activation, VLAN/LAN configuration, and SQL Server provisioning.
  • Provide support for interface development, including HL7, ASTM, and CSV interface solutions.

• Ongoing Support:

  • Offer remote technical assistance for customer system downtimes or malfunctions.
  • Perform software updates, security patching, and database management.
  • Engage with customers to implement BD’s Remote Support Services solution.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Education:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

• Experience:

  • Previous experience in medical technology, middleware devices, PC/IT knowledge, networking, and interface protocols in a hospital setting.
  • Experience deploying informatics solutions across a wide-area network for large organizations.

• Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of virtual machine management (Vsphere, Veeam), TCP/IP networking, VLAN and switch configuration (Dell switches).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server administration, firewall management (Fortigate, Windows Firewall), and Microsoft Server OS.
  • Knowledge of HL7 and ASTM interfacing.

• Desired Skills:

  • Experience in hospital or laboratory IT environments.
  • Microsoft Azure configuration, web application/API development (ASP.NET).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft IIS application deployment and middleware troubleshooting.
